About Sirona Technologies
At Sirona Technologies, we are developing direct air capture (DAC) technology to remove CO2 from the air and combat climate change. Our next containerised plant is being built in Belgium and deployed in Norway. We're in the scale-up phase: we learn from the machines we run in the field, build that into the next generation, and move towards series production. Every iteration has to bring the cost per tonne down.
We're looking for a Founder's Associate to work side by side with the CEO and quickly take full ownership of critical topics. The scope is broad on purpose: in a given week you will work with engineering, commercial, operations, investors and public authorities.
Responsibilities
- Own our unit economics north star, the basis of our roadmaps, investor decks and pricing, and work with engineering, sorbent and project development to bring each cost component down
- Represent Sirona in policy meetings in Brussels, Oslo and other capitals, and coordinate our advocacy with industry associations on legislation that will define our industry
- Run monthly payroll and support the yearly performance review, the foundation of our meritocracy
- Lead recruiting end to end with the hiring managers, so we hire exceptional people that will deliver our high ambitions
- Take on whatever the company needs next and needs an owner for: a grant application, a commercial event, a push with the supply chain team
Requirements
- Dual technical and business background, or an engineer with strong business acumen
- Able to read, review and build complex technical and financial models from first principles
- Excellent communication in writing and in person, with a high bar for the quality of what you produce
- Strong written and spoken English. Sirona is an English-only working environment
- Self-directed and independent with a strong sense of ownership: you set your own priorities, unblock yourself, finish what you start and raise problems early
- Thrives in an intense environment where priorities change quickly
- Strong interest in climate change and carbon removal
- Smart but humble, with a bias for action
Nice to have
- Knowledge of carbon markets, carbon removal certification or EU climate policy
- Very strong with AI tools, using them daily for research, modelling and writing, and building your own workflows with them
If you're passionate about fighting climate change and eager to join a fast-paced organization where your contributions will have a substantial impact, we'd love to hear from you.
