Sirona Technologies completes multi-year carbon removal offtake facilitated by Patch

Sirona Technologies has signed a new multi-year offtake agreement for permanent carbon removal credits, facilitated by Patch. The credits will be generated by Sirona’s modular Direct Air Capture projects and will support the deployment of its next commercial capacity.

The agreement reflects a growing trend: buyers are securing durable carbon removal earlier to guarantee access to high-quality supply later in the decade.

Commercial momentum is building

Over the past year, Sirona’s offtake pipeline has expanded steadily as companies move from exploration to long-term procurement. Buyers are not only committing earlier, but also contracting across multiple years to secure future volumes of permanent removals.

This latest agreement follows that pattern. The decision to commit was driven by three factors: the permanence of geological mineralization storage, the scalability of Sirona’s modular deployment model, and the strategic value of engaging early with a high-certainty supplier.

Sirona’s DAC units are manufactured in Belgium and deployed rapidly to project sites globally. This modular approach enables repeatable quality, fast installation, and the ability to scale capacity across multiple regions without long development timelines. For buyers, this translates into higher delivery confidence and clearer long-term procurement planning.

Working with experienced commercial partners also accelerates transactions. Patch brings deep experience in structuring durable carbon removal purchases and understanding buyer procurement constraints. This helps shorten contracting timelines and enables buyers to move from interest to signed agreements more efficiently.

What this means for buyers

High-quality, permanent carbon removal supply remains limited, while corporate demand continues to grow. Early multi-year agreements are increasingly becoming the way leading buyers secure access to reliable volumes and support project deployment.

By committing now, buyers help bring new DAC capacity online and position themselves ahead of future supply constraints. As Sirona scales its project portfolio across regions, additional offtake opportunities will open for companies looking to secure durable removals for the late-2020s and 2030s.

What this means for Sirona’s roadmap

This agreement supports the build-out of Sirona’s commercial capacity through the second half of the decade. With committed offtake increasing and deployment timelines on track, Sirona is moving from first commercial units toward a multi-project, multi-region portfolio supplying permanent removals at scale.

Quote from Thoralf Gutierrez, CEO & co-founder, Sirona Technologies

“Our offtake pipeline continues to grow as more buyers move from interest to long-term commitments. Working with Patch helps companies understand how to procure permanent carbon removal and structure agreements that fit their timelines. This offtake supports our next phase of deployment, with more expected as our commercial projects come online.”
