Last night marked a major milestone for Sirona Technologies: we unveiled our first commercial Direct Air Capture (DAC) container, with which we will deliver our first certified DAC credits in December 2025.
We welcomed a select group of partners and supporters from across Belgium, the UK, Germany, and France to see the machine up close. Special thanks to Luc Lallemand of the Helios Foundation and Eli Mitchell-Larson from Carbon Gap, who shared thoughtful reflections on the future of carbon removal. And a big thank you to our customers, including Rory Heskin from Patch, who helped us christen the container with a bottle of champagne before it ships to its new home.
What struck everyone first was the speed: from a blank sheet of paper to a fully built, operational container in just six months. The unit will now ship to our commercial site in two weeks, with operations beginning in September.
The second takeaway? The power of modular technology:
This major milestone marks a pivotal moment for Sirona Technologies. After developing six prototype iterations, each refined through rigorous testing and design enhancements, our first commercial Direct Air Capture machine is ready. Our commitment to continuous improvement ensures that each new unit will build on these advancements. With this machine, we are on track to deliver our first certified carbon removal credits in December 2025.
The location of our first commercial site will be revealed this September. Stay tuned.
